My Story.

Meet Euan, Gin Enthusiast & Writer

I’ve been a gin fanatic for many years. I founded From the Gin Shelf in 2017 as a specialist gin website where gin lovers can find a range of reviews, features and interviews from those in the industry. The site now gets close to 60,000 unique visitors per year.

Over the years I’ve immersed myself in learning about the industry, how gin is made and different styles, while honing my senses to identify different botanicals and tasting notes.

I love getting to know the people behind the gin and their stories, and am passionate about championing the many great producers across the industry.

I’m an Official Supporter of International Scottish Gin Day, a judge for The Gin Guide Awards and The Gin Cooperative Awards, and have also written for The Scottish Gin Society.

I also love photography and most of the shots you see on the website are taken by me.
